In order to promote a productive environment for all our clients, we ask that you follow the following rules:
Childcare
- Parents must provide snacks, bottles, etc. for their child. Refrigerator and microwave are available.
- Parents must fill out a health and emergency contact form and sign a contract for usage.
- Children must be between the age of 3 months and 5 years.
- Parents are encouraged to spend time on and offsite as fits their needs.
- Parents will provide diapers for their child.
- Parents understand that we have a quiet area for napping, but that Cubes&Crayons is not responsible for children who do not nap.
Office
- You must check in with the reception desk upon arrival.
- Please set cell phones to vibrate when working.
- If you need to talk on your phone, please do so in the lounge areas whenever possible.
- Food and Drink should be consumed in lounge or kitchen areas only.
- If you wish to listen to music, we ask you use headphones.
- Please respect that others are working, and restrict chatting to the social lounge.
- Please check out at the recption desk when you leave.
- Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohbited on the Cubes&Crayons premises

Can I drop off my child to go to an offsite appointment? Yes. If you are regularly absent and using Cubes&Crayons several hours a week, we may encourage you to make other arrangements.
Can I drop into work only, without my child? If you have a reserved spot, you may use it as you like. We ask that you let us know in advance if you will not be bringing your child.
Can I get long–term storage? This option is currently under review.
Do I need to bring a laptop? You do need to bring your laptop. If you would be interested in renting a workstation on site, please let us know as we are analyzing the cost effectiveness of this option.
In what areas can I volunteer my hours as a co–op member? Closing the center each day, childcare coverage, marketing, web and internet expertise, legal expertise, graphic design expertise, offering workshops in your skill area, developing new features for center, planning expansion, etc. If clients have an idea for another area or cannot help in the above areas, Cubes&Crayons will work with them to create a mutually beneficial co–op relationship. Please contact contact@cubesandcrayons.com to coordinate your co–op hours. Co–op required hours: 3 – 4 per month for use of center up to 20 hours a week 6 – 8 hours per month for use of center up to 40 hours a week.
What happens if I can’t volunteers hours as a co–op member? Members who do not meet their co–op commitment for the month will be charged at the regular, non–co–op rate.
May I bring my child with me when I volunteer? You may volunteer during the time your child is scheduled to be at Cubes&Crayons or work without bringing him or her. There are several tasks that may be done from home. Please contact our parent coordinator in selecting the best way to contribute as a co–op member.
Is there stroller storage? No, there is no designated place to put your stroller. Our Menlo Park campus has stair access, so we encourage clients to not bring a stroller whenever possible. If you do bring your stroller, we ask that you please call up to the reception so that our staff can help you get the stroller, children, etc. up the stairs.
